I ordered this as a replacement for my old Krups machine. I personally wouldn't buy any other. Everyone remarks on how hot it keeps the coffee, which is a failing with a lot of other machines. My only disappointment was that it arrived with a euro plug attached but I overcame this by purchasing a suitable adaptor. It makes coffee OK.

The perminant coffee filter is a cost,time and effort saving feature and once you have a coffee maker with one, you will never want to go back to paper filters again. In reality, I had a maker with a timer on it and never used it. I like the fact I can put fresh water in a machine in the morning and the short wait for that first cup is not a problem.
